Sector

A relay race inside an aircraft hangar at Fornebu. Two runners, 1,000 metres, in through the hangar and out into the dark. Qualifiers during the day, superfinal and afterrun at night.

The concept

Qualifiers during the day. Superfinal at night.

The format

Teams of two. You switch every lap. Qualifying heats over 6 laps during the day. The best teams go through to the superfinal over 10 laps, against invited teams and profiles.

The hangar

The race runs inside an aircraft hangar at the old Fornebu airport. 12 metres to the ceiling, a DJ in the middle of the hall and spectators along both sides of the course.

The night

When the last team crosses the line, the hangar turns into an afterrun with DJs and artists. The spectator ticket covers the whole night. Outside along the course, it is free.

The course · 1,000 m per lap

In through the hangar. Out into the dark.

01Relay zone at the entrance. The next runner goes as soon as the baton is handed over.
02In through an LED portal and smoke.
03Three long straights with wide turns around the DJ rig.
04Out into the dark and around the building, back to the relay zone.
